Sam Verity [Duty Manager]
I have been working at Bridport Leisure Centre since November 2008.After completing my A Levels I decided to complete an apprentice position within the Leisure Industry. I joined Bridport Leisure Centre as a Centre Assistant and after two years progressed into the role of Recreation Supervisor. Six months later I was further promoted to my current position of Duty Manager.
I have enjoyed the new challenges that the role has to offer and have gained several qualifications including my Pool Plant Operators Certificate, First Aid at Work and training in the use of an AED defibrillator. I have also recently completed an NVQ Level 3 in Leisure Management.
Within my role as Duty Manager I am responsible for the day to day running of the Centre, providing a high level of customer service and ensuring the safety of the customers and staff.
Outside of work I enjoy cycling, rugby and socialising with friends.
