Lin Hill [Marketing Coordinator]
I started working at Bridport Leisure Centre on a casual basis as a Receptionist in 1998 working one Sunday shift in four! I then joined as a permanent Receptionist in 2000 and was promoted to Head Receptionist in 2002.
In 2006 I was further promoted to the position of Membership & Marketing Coordinator whilst still retaining the management responsibility for Reception.
Over the past few years, the Centre has rapidly expanded and grown. In 2011, the sales and membership element of my position was passed over to the newly created role of Customer Sales Advisor allowing me more time to concentrate on moving the marketing element of the buiness forward.
During my time at Bridport Leisure Centre, I have undertaken a range of job related qualifications including Welcome Host and Welcome Line, Retails Skills and the ISRM Certificate in Supervisory Management.
I've seen a lot of changes and I've been part of some really exciting projects including the complete refurbishment of the Fitness Suite in 2009 and the recently built Health & Wellbeing Studios which house the state of the art Kinesis equipment. The Centre's come a long way from the original squash courts built in the 1970's!
In my spare time I really enjoy getting out and about, socialising and meeting new people and most importantly spending time with my family and walking my dog 'Skipper'. When I get time I also love gardening and try to use the fantastic facilities at work as much as possible especially Spinning and the Fitness Suite.
