Tom Grattidge [Recreation Supervisor]
I started working at Bridport Leisure Centre in November 2010 as a full time Centre Assistant. I took a brief spell away working as an Estate Agent before returning to my current position of Recreation Supervisor.I completed a BTEC National Diploma in Sport and Performance at College during which time I also worked part time in a local gym. It was during this time that my interest in the lesiure industry began to grow.
In my current position I am in charge of leading my team in the day to day operations of the Centre and covering as a Duty Manager when required.
I am currently working towards my NVQ Level 3 in Leisure Management and I have recently completed the Pool Plant Operators Certificate. Other qualifications I have gained include First Aid at Work, National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, NVQ Level 2 in Operational Services and I am a fully training Bikeability Instructor. I also hold a Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification which is a keen interest of mine.
Although I am a keen sportsman playing both football and golf, my time will soon be dedicated to the birth of my daughter who is due in May 2012.
